Dig Deep for water, Tibooburra

‘Dig Deep for water, Tibooburra’, oil on canvas, by Betty Pearson

Betty Pearson is the immediate Past President of Gaara Arts Inc. (Gaara), the all women’s Broken Hill art group. Betty, who is now the Vice President of Gaara, does not have her own gallery but she is a keen artist nonetheless.

I met Betty in October 2012 at the time of the Gaara “Water, One Drop at a Time” exhibition which was held at the fabulous Town Hall Facade gallery space from 20 September to 21 October 2012.

The theme for the exhibition was inspired by national ‘Water Week’.

I really loved this painting by Betty.

  1. My wife and I are the proud owners of a beautiful painting by Betty – we saw it displayed years ago at the Royal Easter Show – It’s a watercolour of 2 possums in a tree – we love it !

    • Belated thanks for your comment. Appreciated. Yes, I know Betty. She’s a very talented artist and a lovely lady too. Glad you like your artwork. Too bad she’s no longer in Broken Hill which is of course were I met her.
