There is more to Broken Hill than beautiful old buildings and a significant mining history (think BHP).  There’s art!

Much of the charm of this small city in outback New South Wales Australia is the fabulous variety of art available, created by the numerous local and visiting artists.

Broken Hill with its population nudging 18,000 and its near neighbour, the tiny ghost town Silverton are home to over 25 art galleries.

Art of Broken Hill introduces you to the galleries and their artist owners.  It will also tap into the network of artists without galleries, who instead exhibit via regular art shows and exhibitions, and on the walls of cafes, clubs and restaurants around Broken Hill and Silverton.
